Monday Night Concord Meet - 6.15.09

Finally went back to a Monday night Euro meet out in front of Kohls in Concord. This time with the camera. Word on the street was that a bunch of folks were coming. Yup. This was the biggest turnout I've been to, but I've only been out to these meets three times, so there could have been bigger in the past.

These are all the photos I took (that came out decent), there were a few other cars that I missed.

PXRacing & Takastyle Car Show @ RPM

Went to the PXRacing & Takastyle Car Show this past weekend to cover the event with camera in hand. It was held in the parking lot of Race Place Motorsports (RPM) Indoor Kart Racing in Sacramento.

What was originally supposed to be 12 car meet, according to James, turned into a 100+ car event with vendors, models, entertainment, and a nice crowd of spectators.

If you got bored looking at cars, or got tired of sweating your "you know what" off in the heat, you could make your way into RPM to cool down or turn up the heat more and race go-karts. I did both...but I got HOOKED on those little speed machines.

In due time, this event will get bigger and bigger.

James' infamous rubber ducky! The show definitely can't go on without this little dude.

New lens...First shot...Cool car.

Woohoo, got another brand new lens. I've had the 24-70 2.8L a few months back, but sold it to a friend to get some wheels. Well, I bought another one, and it feels good to have it! Now I'm ready for the weekend!

Don't let the pictures and the bright colors fool you, that e30 M3 definitely needs some work!!! Every person has their good side, right? Well, every car does too!

PXRacing & Takastyle Car Show and Meet - June 14, 2009

Got nothing to do on June 14th? Head out and see some cars and go kart race while you're at it. You can't go wrong with that.

My homie James, dude that rolls CRAZY CAMBER, hit me up about this show he's putting together and asked if I wanted to get thrown on the flyer? Who could pass that up? So, I'll be out there snapping away.

From what he tells me, the turnout is going to be pretty big. Check out the flyer for all the fine details.

5th Annual Asian Heritage Street Celebration (car show area) - San Francisco 5.16.09

There was a small car show held at the Asian Heritage Street Celebration this past Saturday in downtown San Francisco. This celebration takes place on the third Saturday every May. A few city streets were blocked off to welcome vendors from all over the bay area ranging from food vendors to clothing boutiques. It's an event definitely worth checking out next year.

Tons of people. Tons of food. Lots of beer. Dope cars. Good times.

SYTFU 4th Annual BBQ - 4.11.09

Took a bunch of pictures this past weekend at SYTFU's 4th Annual Charity BBQ held at the Alameda Naval Base.

This was my first time going to one of their events and I was impressed with the number of cars that showed up. They delayed this same BBQ the month before, and didn't think it was going down anytime soon. I found out about the new date two days before. Just enough time to wash and wax.

I was lucky enough to get a spot to park at the Memoryfab booth inside the (dusty) hanger. Once we got all set up, it was picture time.

Wheels on = More photos - 3.4.09

Finally got the wheels mounted on after a long mission in trying to get everything together (still need hub rings, on it's way). It's a big change from the 19inch LM Reps. Now there's more wheel gap, and ummmm, not so good. I'm still trying to get used to the new look, but I need to make some changes. Maybe throw on some spacers up front and drop it a little more. Hopefully that will make it right. If not, on to new wheels.

Hot off the press...BBS RS's

Yep...fresh out of the shop! Refinished, waiting to get picked up. My homie Daniel, from Memoryfab, hit me up today to tell me the wheels are ready to go. This is definitely the place to go!

He emailed me a quick picture to give me a preview. All I need now are some tires and hub rings!

Fully refinished and re-drilled to 5x112.

Fort Point Shoot

These photo's were taken a few weeks back at Fort Point in S.F. after a Euro meet at the Berkeley Marina. So I guess it's an oldie, but goodie.

A collaboration with myself and homie, Daniel P.

By the time we got to the place it was too dark to take shots without flash. I had my 430ex attached to my 40d, but shots were still coming out bad. So we tried something we learned on youtube. We set up Daniel's XT on a tripod and set the camera on longer exposures so we can manually set off the flash around each car. After a few trial shots, we found our settings and this is what we got.

I think it's time to invest in some lighting!
