Stance of the Union - Sacto 10.23.10

Rolled out of bed yesterday morning...pondered for about an hour, then rolled my arse over to the Stance of the Union show in downtown Sacto.  I wasn't planning on going, but geez...this is one of the leading forums/sites in the car scene right now, so it was a MUST!

No matter how big or small the recognition, it's always a great feeling. It can be a photo I've taken or something about my car. This time it was both, a picture I took of my car that I randomly posted on their Flickr group. Pretty cool, especially since there are tons of pictures and better looking rides that get posted to their group everyday.

It was a good day to take a cruise to an old Naval base (now filled with private companies, but cool structures) to find some spots to shoot and get more experience with using off-camera strobes. Stopped at one spot behind a building, hoping security wouldn't hassle me. Someone ended up calling them, but the guy was pretty cool and showed me were I could go. I took a bunch of shots, but only three made the cut. I spent a lot of time moving the lights around, but they were never perfect.

What did I learn today? I need AlienBees!!!
